THE PHILIPPINES, JANUARY 10, 2012: Pinoy Henyo (Filipino Genius), a word-guessing game, popularized on long-running variety show Eat Bulaga! has broken into the digital space. The free app developed by Alfred M Ocon works in the same way as the original game but requires players to use their Android-powered phone, in place of the intricate headpiece with LED board for the mystery word as seen on TV. The phone flashes the mystery word, called the Henyo Word, in big, bright letters.

The game is supported by Android versions 1.0 and up, and is currently on version 1.2.0. The latest version features 900 new words, category selection (choose only a specific category for Henyo Words), and a sound indicator once the timer runs down to 10 seconds. The app currently has a 4.7 star rating in the Android market and has enjoyed a steady rise in the number of downloads and installations.
